3001 Wisdom Quotes as you would have guessed has 3001 quotes from many of the world’s greatest leaders and thinkers like Aristotle, Einstein, Gandhi, Lincoln and many others according to the developers there are quotes from over 70 people. The UI is quite impressive and is quite similar to the 5001 Amazing Facts app. You can browse the various quotes by category, author or keyword search. You can tag the quotes you like as favorites and easily browse through those selected few. The Left > Right and Right > Left flick gesture are present so you can easily browse through all the quotes. One other cool thing I noticed was the new scroll bar, the app does a fantastic job of covering us the WM interface and the only time you see any default WM UI is when you want to email a selected quote to a friend or when you try to fetch more info about each author , which will open IE and pull the info from Wikipedia. The sound effects the same as in the previous app and goes well with the swipe gesture.
What disappointed me was that fact the app will open IE even if opera is set as your default browser. The “ quote of the day ” just pulls up random quote each time and I think it should be renamed to “ Random Quotes “. This app has no option to add quotes which is a bit of disappointment.
If you like to check out some random quotes from time to time , this app wont disappoint you for $1.99 from the marketplace. If a future update includes the option to add custom quotes I will give this 2 thumbs up.
